Incidentally, we don’t think that James, our regular accompanist, has four hands,
but we are assured that he has something up his sleeve!

Singing Day

Saturday May 9th, 2020, 10.00 am

Norbury Parish Church (London Road, Hazel Grove SK7 4RF)

Programme to be determined; event to be fun!

Programme Pattern

We generally put on two major concerts per year plus a Christmas Carol Concert.

In addition, we hold a “come and sing” day and a summer sing-and-social.

The “come and sing” day is a whole-day rehearsal, building up to an informal concert.  It’s great – stretching – fun for members of the choir, but is open to anyone else.  We particularly welcome anyone wanting to explore choral singing or wanting to find out how they would fit in with Marple Choral Society.

The summer sing-and-social is not a concert (so it’s not open to the public), but affords the choir the opportunity to sing a varied selection of shorter pieces that would not normally find their way into a major concert.  We can let our hair down a bit (at least, those of us who still have hair), enjoy the pleasure of singing followed by a natter and nosh.
